Managing your team access: who can stamp what

Partners, associates, secretaries: configure each team member's rights for a secure and controlled workflow.

  • law firm team management
  • law firm associates
  • access rights firm
  • team stamp
  • firm workflow
  • firm organization
  • lawyer document sharing

Not everyone should do everything

The intern should be able to stamp exhibits. They shouldn't be able to modify the firm's official stamp.

In a firm, roles are clearly defined. Partners supervise, associates draft, secretaries prepare files. Digital tools must reflect this organization.

Without access control, anyone can modify stamping settings, change the numbering format, or use a stamp that isn't theirs.

Traceability is also at stake: who stamped what, when, with what settings. In case of a problem, you must be able to identify the source.

  • Interns shouldn't modify firm settings
  • Each team member should be identifiable in logs
  • Team stamps must be protected against unauthorized changes

Four roles to cover all needs

Owner: full control over team, subscriptions, stamps. Reserved for managing partners.

Administrator: can manage team members and modify stamps. For non-managing partners or office managers.

Manager: can use all tools and see team activity. For senior associates.

Reader: can use basic tools (stamping, compression) but not modify settings. For junior associates and secretaries.

  • Owner: complete management (1 per team)
  • Administrator: member and stamp management
  • Manager: full use + team visibility
  • Reader: tool use only

Shared and controlled stamps

The team stamp is configured once by an administrator. All members use it automatically, without being able to modify it.

You can create multiple stamps: a main stamp with the firm name, a simplified stamp for internal documents, a special stamp for court communications.

Each stamp can include the firm logo, registration number, mandatory mentions. Visual consistency is guaranteed across all documents produced by the team.

  • Stamps locked by administrators
  • Multiple stamps per team for different uses
  • Customizable logo and mentions

Subscription and seats: who has access

Avocachet subscription works by seats. Each seat allows a member to access premium tools.

The owner assigns seats to team members. A departing associate frees their seat for the next one.

You can add temporary seats for busy periods (new interns, reinforcements on a case) without long-term commitment.

Create your team

Invite your team members and configure their access.

Manage my team

A well-organized firm is an efficient firm

Access management is not bureaucracy. It's the guarantee that each team member works within a clear and secure framework.

Take time to properly configure roles from the start. You'll avoid errors and daily friction.
